U.S. Postal Service Vehicle Testing

In 1999, The U.S Postal Service contracted with Ford Motor Company for the purchase of 500 Electric Carrier Route Vehicles (ECRVs). The ECRVs were phased into service at 22 Post Office locations --- with 20 in California and two on the East Coast --- between February 2001 and October of 2002. The findings from this demonstration are provided in the reports listed below.
